Kathleen Hwang

Kathleen Hwang has been living and working in East Asia for more than three decades. She taught English at three universities in mainland China, and spent five years working as an editorial advisor for the state TV station, CCTV, in Beijing – gaining unique insight into China’s media policies and practices.

Later she served for seven years as correspondent and bureau chief for United Press International in Hong Kong, including managing the UPI Asia website. In 2017 she moved to Taiwan with her husband, where both supported the newly organized Chinese People’s Federation for World Peace.

Kathleen currently lives in South Korea with her husband, and works as website editor for Universal Peace Federation.
